Lino Mannocci

"Lino Mannocci was born in 1945 - 2021;and was predominantly influenced creatively by the 1960s growing up. Historically established in the context of the Cold War, the 1960s epitomize an extremely powerful era which engendered a significant number of disruptions and challenged the order of all things. In Europe, The Iron Curtain and the Berlin wall would eternally mark people and beliefs, while in the U.S, events such as the Cuban missile crisis and Vietnam war would forever influence generations to come. From education to gender issues and ideologies, a re-definition of social standards in Western society developed, with revolutionary philosophies and movements evolving in a cradle of inventiveness. Honesty and an emptiness of emotions were key concepts in the highly influential movement of Minimalism, represented by artists like Frank Stella, Donald Judd and Agnes Martin. Uninterested in the gestural elements of Abstract Expressionism, Minimalist artists focused on delivering artworks mainly gathering polished, clean lines and geometrical elements. The very first blossoming of Conceptualism was highly influenced by the simplicity of Minimalism but went further in denying all pre-defined conceptions inherent to art, similarly to what Pop Artists were trying to achieve by uplifting popular culture to the status of high art. Several schools of philosophy profoundly influenced creatives, Francis Bacon and Alberto Giacometti were artists fundamentally persuaded by the ideologies of Existentialism, who achieved worldwide success through their depiction of the human form and the anguish often associated with the human condition. globally, an important number of art movements resounded with the radical changes of the 1960s, often prone to their own regional distinctions. In Italy, Lucio Fontana and Piero Manzoni created Spatialism, while in Germany, the Zero group adopted similar ideas under the leadership of Günther Uecker."(artland.com)

Ennio Morlotti

Ennio Morlotti ( 1910 – 1992) was an Italian painter of the Corrente de Vita movement started in Milan as a counterpoint to nationalistic Futurism and the Novecento Italiano movements. His figures show an affinity to the geometry of Cezanne and Matisse, but later works introduce elements of abstraction... Some figurative references of landscapes and still lifes were still present, but matter and colour (often laid on canvas with a spatula) became the protagonist of his works. In 1950 and 1951, he exhibited at the Caterine Viviano Gallery in New York, starting to be known outside Italy. Besides Venturi, Morlotti’s work was praised by other leading Italian critics such as Arcangeli, Longhi, Testori and Volpe. Arcangeli in particular included Morlotti among “gli ultimi naturalisti”, the last naturalist painters, as one of the last heirs of a Lombard tradition of figuration.

Alex Romano

"Born in Italy Rome, Alex Romano began his career as a child, when his 7 years he received the 1st Prize for Children's Painting and participated in V International Exhibition of Children's Painting organized under the patronage of the Province of Rome in the famous Via Margutta, the most emblematic street in the heart of ancient Rome, chosen by artists from around the world goal. After finishing his studies, and with a desire to further expand his artistic horizons, Alex Romano traveled through Europe and Latin America soaking up all the cultural expressions of these countries before returning to his hometown and further training in artistic attending various courses conducted by the Accademia delle Belle Arti di Roma.
During his studies of bachelor in USA and Spain and later during college, Alex Romano used his free time to feed his artistic quest and fascinated by the force of the matter, he became interested in recycling. Alex Romano began, then, not only to use found materials as support for his works, but also to incorporate them into them, creating different textures and forms and developing not only a material recycling, but also a conceptual recycling, giving the waste a second opportunity.
His admiration for Informalism that developed in France and in the rest of Europe after the Second World War, and by the American Abstract Expressionism as by the artists Alberto Burri, Antoni Tapies, Georges Mathieu, Gorky, Willem de Kooning, Jean Paul Riopelle, Pollock or Stanislaus Rapotec have determined a great artistic influence in his work without taking an ounce of originality from his pictorial personality. Alex Romno translates reality into images of suggestive strength that invite a fantastic itinerary through undefined spaces, discontinuous lines, abstract forms, full of colors and some grotesque elements."
