Karolis Greičiūnas - Lithuanian artist, who started drawing early in childhood.
Starting from very simple child like drawings he reached a professional art level. He creates a variety of paintings, however he completely rediscovers himself while painting on a wall, this is when a piece truly becomes a challenge and takes months to paint. He creates art using various tools, Acrylic paint, markers.
He calls his style "Photographic painting", it requires a lot of thoroughness and attention to detail. He dedicates himself to every piece entirely, and aims for the piece to look as realistic as possible.
His biggest passion in art is cars. He expresses himself and his capabilities the most while painting them.
He likes painting cars for himself and for car lovers and fans alike. He's very glad that this profession, which has become a life style, receives attention and is respected. With every painting, a part of the artist's soul, effort and joy is drawn upon.

Abstract paintings Pierre Gauvreau

Pierre Gauvreau (23 August 1922 – 7 April 2011)was a Québécois painter who has also worked in film and television productions.He was born in Montreal, and studied at the École des Beaux-Arts de Montréal, today part of UQAM. He eventually associated with Quebec artistic dissident group Les Automatistes and became a signatory to the Refus global artistic manifesto.Gauvreau worked in various aspects of television production during the 1950s. He took a break from painting during the 1960s until 1975. He continued to paint in 2005.Wikipedia

 Gauvreau was a signatory of the famous manifesto, Refus Global (Total Refusal), formed and published in 1948 by the Automatistes (1940s) and led by Borduas. The manifesto rejected formal academic strains of teaching and the Automatistes were heavily influenced by Surrealism and automatism. Of all the members, Gauvreau's favouritism towards a subconscious approach to painting: the freshness, the immediacy, and the freedom, solidified his work as "avant-garde". In 1977, after a hiatus of more than ten years during which his energies were absorbed by film and television, Gauvreau's colours intensified, his canvases grew larger, and he began working in a style that combined his earlier gestural brushwork with shapes and techniques associated usually with colour field and hard-edged painting: large areas of bright colour, geometric shapes, and the use of tape and collage to give sharply designated edges. Robert Hodgins

Robert Hodgins (27 June 1920 – 15 March 2010) was an English painter and printmaker.Robert Hodgins was born in Dulwich, London, on 27 June 1920, and immigrated to South Africa in 1938.He enlisted with the Union Defence Force in 1940, and served in Kenya and Egypt.In 1944 he returned to England, and studied art and education at Goldsmiths College, University of London, where he received an arts and crafts certificate in 1951 and a National Diploma of Design in painting in 1953.

He returned to South Africa, where he taught at the Pretoria Technical College School of Art from 1954. From 1962 he was a journalist and critic for Newscheck magazine. He lectured in painting at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, from 1966 to 1983.Hodgins worked using a variety of paint media, including oils, acrylic paint and tempera. he had been exhibiting since the 1950s but did not come to wider attention until the early 1980s. In 1980 and 1981 he had produced a series of paintings based on Ubu, the main character in the play Ubu Roi, who became a recurring subject of his art.

 

In 1983, he retired to paint full-time. He partook in many solo and group exhibitions in South Africa and abroad. His work can be seen in many galleries, corporate and public collections, including Anglo American, the Johannesburg Art Gallery, the Sandton Art Gallery, the Pretoria Art Museum, the South African National Gallery in Cape Town, University of South Africa (UNISA), the University of the Witwatersrand Art Galleries, and the William Humphreys Art Gallery in Kimberley.Robert Hodgins died on 15 March 2010,in Johannesburg, after a bout with lung cancer at the age of 89.Wikipedia,
