Realism Basuki Abdullah

Basuki Abdullah (Surakarta, Central Java 25 January 1915 - Jakarta, 5 November 1993) was an Indonesian painter and a convert to Roman Catholicism from Islam. His work is characterized as realism and has been exhibited in the Indonesian National Gallery. He received formal training in The Hague. During the Japanese occupation of Indonesia he was an art teacher. After the war he became known internationally, winning an art contest on the occasion of the accession in the Netherlands of Queen Juliana. His status in Indonesia provided an opportunity to paint the official portrait of President Suharto. Abdullah was beaten to death by three assailants during a break-in at his Jakarta home.Wikipedia

Oil dry brush is a painting technique in which a paint brush is relatively dry, but still holds paint, is used. The very thin layer of color is applied to a paper. Dry brush is layer upon layer and reworking with an eraser at this point it is possible to incorporate different lighting effects and details. Images painted with a dry brush appears similar to a photo.

Danguole Serstinskaja

Danguole is a lithuanian artist and a professional dog breeder. She has been engaged with animals for multiple decades and it is her natural interest in the anatomical and psychological aspects of animals that has given her motivation to become an experienced animal artist within the field of realism.
Selected as one of 60 artists to receive the ATIM Masters Certificate 2016 issue each year by ArtTour International Magazine and invited to participate in ATIM'S TOP 60 MASTERS OF CONTEMPORARY ART 2016. Only 60 artists are selected each year to receive this honour.

Ken Danby

Ken Danby, CM OOnt (6 March 1940 – 23 September 2007) was a Canadian painter in the realist style.
Danby is best known for creating highly realistic paintings that study everyday life. His At the Crease (1972) is an iconic and widely reproduced work in Canada, portraying a masked hockey goalie defending his net.
In 1975, Danby was elected a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts.[2] He has also been a recipient of the Jessie Dow Prize, the 125th Anniversary Commemorative Medal of Canada, the City of Sault Ste. Marie's Award of Merit and both the Queen's Silver and Golden Jubilee Medals.Wikipedia
In the 1980s, he prepared a series of watercolours about the Americas Cup and the Canadian athletes at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo. Danby has served on the governing board of the Canada Council and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Gallery of Canada.
In 1997, Danby received an Honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario. In 2001, he was vested in both the Order of Ontario and the Order of Canada.Wikipedia
