Théo Gerber (1928-1997) was born in Thun (Thoune) in Switzerland in 1928.
He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Basel.
Gerber began exhibiting in Switzerland in 1952, and in 1965 moved to Paris, where his surreal neo-romantic work placed him alongside the artists of the movement Figuration Narrative.
Théo Gerber was one of the artists who contributed lithographs to the radical anarchist journal Situationist Times.
